One Room Cabin

This assignment will get you to think about the underlying structure of a building and the materials that are involved.

For this assignment, use the following diagram as a guide to model a one room cabin.

For each piece of wood, you will have to use exact dimensions in your model, not the "indicated" values. For instance, a 2x4 is not actually 2 inches by 4 inches; it is actually 1-1/2 x 3-1/2 inches. See this page for actual dimensions.

Note that you will not be drawing your model "exploded" as shown in the diagram. You will be drawing it the way it would actually be constructed.

For any dimensions not shown, do some research or consult with your instructor.

Be sure your model is drawn using the dimensions show on the diagram!

You will also be creating a materials list for this assignment, created in Google Documents. Name your file "Full Name TDJ3M Can Bill of Materials" and share (as editor) with your instructor. More details will come later about this.
